Large Capacity Mud Desilter Solids Control Equipment / Drilling Mud Desilter
The drilling fluid is fed into the hydrocyclones in the tangent direction by the sand pump under the pressure of 0.2~0.4Mpa. The high speed downward revolution of the fluid can generate great centrifugal force. The heavier solid particles will be thrown to the inner wall of the cyclones. The deeper and smaller the diameter of the cyclone is, the greater the angular velocity of the flowing fluid will be, generating greater centrifugal force.
Drilling mud desilter is used to separate silts from drilling muds. The cut point can be as low as 4“. As muds are being used in drilling operations, they are contaminated with silts. In order to use again these muds, it is necessary to separate silts and also to recycle muds to dispose them at the end of work duty. TR 4”desilter can handle up to 1056 GPM of drilling fluids.
